Prof.Ingrid Paoletti (Scientific Responsible)

Ingrid Paoletti, Assistant Professor of Building Technology at the Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Department (ABC) at Politecnico di Milano. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the PhD Program in ‘Project and Technology for the enhancement of Cultural Heritage’, she is member of the committee of the department and in the technical committee of the Laboratory for Technical Information. She is coordinator of the Politecnico Cluster on ‘Innovative technologies and construction industry’. She is delegato for the relations with India at Politecnico di Milano. She is CIB member, Working Group 119 on Industrialization in Construction and of the IIMCP network on Mass-customization.  The research activity is characterized by a constant interest in deepening the role of technical innovation in architecture with a particular emphasis on innovative envelopes and advanced construction methods. A special interest is focused on the role of innovative technologies and tools to combine design and production.

Arch. Roberto Naboni (Workshop Coordinator)

Roberto Stefano Naboni is Architect and Research Assistant in Building Technology at the Politecnico of Milan University.. His activity is mainly focused on projects and theoretical research in the field of computational design, digital fabrication and design methodology. He writes articles for national and international magazines and is curator of [The Cool Stuff] blog. He previously collaborated with international offices for architecture like Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP, Enric Miralles & Benedetta Tagliabue Associates and Stefano Boeri Studio. Roberto Stefano Naboni holds a Master of Architecture with honours from Politecnico of Milano, Italy and is currently a PhD Candidate in the same university.

Eng. Bernardo de Cossio (Workshop Instructor)

Bernardo de Cossio, mechatronic engineer as well as architect, graduated with honors from Universidad Anahuac Mexico and Politecnico di Milano. His interest lays in the intersection of engineering and architecture, fusioning the arts with the technique. During the past 7 years, Bernardo has been participating in the construction industry as a consultant, project manager or general contractor, for commercial, governmental offices and residential buildings in different cities in Mexico.

Arch. Paolo Alborghetti (Workshop Instructor)

Master degree in architecture at Politecnico of Milano, with a research-thesis about swarm intelligence and self-organizing systems. Computation addicted and open-source supporter, his interests range from programming, simulations, brutal modeling, to physical computing, digital fabrication and all the nerdy stuff out there. He collaborated with different studios in Italy and abroad, working on large scale projects. He’s been teaching assistant at Politecnico of Milano, teaching tutor at past edition of Unexpected Materiality WS and currently working at Arup in Milan as computational consultant.
